FR Comment faire image sur un papier photo qui a pris la lumière? Dans cette série, le papier photo a été volontairement exposé puis développé, offrant une surface uniformément noire à priori invalide à rendre toute image. Contournant cet aveuglement du support, des photogravures sont gaufrées sur le papier baryté. A l’empreinte de la lumière succède l’empreinte par contact. L’image obtenue est une image noir sur noir qui ne se perçoit que par ses micro-reliefs et la brillance du papier. Selon le point de vue, l’image disparaît et il ne reste qu’un rectangle noir.
EN In this series, the photo paper is intentionally exposed to the light and developed. the result is an uniformly black surface, which cannot produce any image anymore. On this black baryta paper, photoengravings are embossed. After the imprint of light, comes the contact imprint. The image can only be seen through the micro-reliefs and the glossiness of the paper. Depending on the point of view, the image disappears and only a black rectangle remains.
